This Three Month Course starts with the basics of soldering, electronics and troubleshooting, and leads into the fundamentals of processing equipment, sound effects, microphone techniques and full sound reinforcement systems.

Other professional and commercial applications will be covered. There will be plenty of hands on live production as well as in - class instruction.

The course includes both theory and practical applications.

Students learn about the equipment used, how it works, how it is made, and the real-world application of each piece of equipment.

Instructor Randy Bergner

Born in Winnipeg, Randy brings 27 years of experience to Summit.

He has worked in China, North America and Europe, including Front of House for Expo 2000 in Hanover, Germany.

His clients have included such diverse acts as Steve Vai, Big Country, Sarah Brightman and the Scorpions.

Randy brings considerable real world sound experience to Summit School

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to work in the following areas:
Sound Engineer, Monitor Technician, Stage Manager and Tour Manager.
