One Year Masters Course
Fees: $36,200.00 CND

Building

This course includes both repairs and building.  After eleven months, students have the option of staying at the school to continue their studies and work experience; or of travelling to Umea, Sweden for work experience. (see below for information about Umea). The Sweden option has an additional cost of $2500.00 Canadian.

The work experience takes the place of a final exam.  Students are evaluated for their punctual attendance and work performance during this time.  This work experience is part of your reference to determine a recommendation from the school to potential employers.

Month One:

  • Repairs – set ups, fret dress, nuts and saddles, electronics

Month Nine and Ten;

  • Build an acoustic arch top

 

Month Two – Month Four:

  • Build an electric guitar – strat or tele style

  • Build an acoustic Guitar – dreadnaught style

Month Eleven:

  • Repairs

  • Resume Writing

  • Job Search

  • Finishing any unfinished work

 

Month Five through eight:

  • Students choice for building

Month Twelve:

  • Work Experience

  • Students will build a maximum of Seven instruments.
